Fractional CO2 Laser

Fractional CO2 Laser skin resurfacing is a minimally invasive treatment to restore the skin back to its healthy and smooth state.

It’s great to treat acne scars and overall skin texture

Fractional CO2 Laser uses fractional technology to treat acne scars and lighten discoloration effectively. It is also a treatment to help to lighten and improve the condition of unsightly stretch marks. It stimulates the body’s natural repair process to rebuild the lost collagen and to restore the depressions in skin.

Fractional Laser restores the skin to its original texture, meaning smoother and younger-looking skin. Other benefits of fractional laser include reducing the appearance of enlarged pores, pigmentation and fine lines.

Similar to Fraxel with lesser downtime

Both laser treatments encourages production of new, healthy collagen to fill in the scarred surface of the skin. The CO2 laser goes slights deeper and has a different way of shrinking collagen than the Fraxel laser. With the technology CO2 Laser uses, it reduces the downtime significantly as compared to Fraxel.

Most patients reported that the procedure is highly tolerable and gives some warm sensation. Downtime is usually a few days with the skin appear ‘sunburnt’. Tiny brown crusts will form and detach from the skin after 5-7 days. Use of sunblock and avoidance of direct sun exposure is recommended during the healing phase.
