General Principles
Healthsprings Connect strives to minimize the collection of personal data from you. We only request the information necessary to manage your account and provide the services.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, personal data shall have meaning ascribed to it under Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”).

  • Personal Information: Name, age, date of birth, occupation, gender, mailing address, email address, identification document details and phone number. 
  • Health Information: Medical and health information provided by you, encompassing your medical history, health status, laboratory test results, diagnostic image and other health related data when using the App to consult with a healthcare provider. 
  • Billing information: Credit card or online payment system details. This information is utilised to create your account and enable you to purchase products or services through our Websites and/or Apps. 
  • Technical data: This information is collected to monitor user interactions with the Websites or Apps. Technologies like “cookies”, web beacons, and others are employed to gather data such as your server connection, browser type (e.g. Safari, Chrome), IP address, and your choices within the Websites or Apps. We use this data to assess usage rates of the Websites or Apps function and services. It’s important to note that you have the option to adjust your browser settings to block cookies. However, disabling cookies may impact the proper functioning of the features and services on the Websites.
  • Location Information: We may collect location information from your device when you use the App to provide location-based services.
  • Camera and Microphone Information: We may collect camera and microphone information when you use the App for telemedicine consultations.

Use of Information

  • Account management: Register and maintain your account on our Websites and/or Apps. 
  • Facilitating Consultation: Introducing you to medical practitioners and wellness experts (collectively, “Practitioners”) and enabling consultation via our Websites or Apps. We only share your information with the chosen Practitioners solely for conducting the Consultation. 
  • Providing Services: Delivering Information, products or services you have requested. 
  • Financial Transactions: Fees for completed consultations or any other transactions related to products or services used or purchased by you. 
  • Communication and Notification: Updates of changes to our products or services. Responding to your queries and requests. Sending marketing and promotional materials about our products and services. 
  • Operational and Security Measures: Administering the Websites and Apps, including internal operations like troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, and research. Ensuring the safety and security of our Websites and Apps. Enforcing our terms, conditions, and policies. Completing customer screening, identity verification, and fraud detection processes, including checks related to anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism.
  • Data Analysis: Aggregating data into anonymized statistical information for analysis, helping us improve our service offerings.
  • Other Purposes: Performing any other functions that we may inform you of from time to time.

Upon successful deletion of your account

  • Your account will become inaccessible and will be permanently deleted.
  • All family profiles and credit card information associated with the account will be erased.
  • Any ongoing consultations that have not been completed will be canceled.
  • Please note that you will no longer have access to any existing healthcare data stored in Healthsprings Connect.
  • Certain transactional data will be retained for financial audit purposes.
  • Information related to medical consultations will be preserved for the natural lifespan of the patient, as mandated by the Ministry of Health (MOH) regulations.
  • Additionally, in the event that you create a new account using the same email address, please be aware that you will not be able to view the history of your previous account.

Security of Information

We take reasonable measures to protect the security of your information. However, no security measures are perfect, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information.

Data Security Measures 

We are dedicated to protecting your personal data under our control. Healthsprings Connect Pte. Ltd. (“Healthsprings Connect” or “we”) is the operator of the website available at visit.healthspringsconnect.sg and other associated websites (collectively referred to as “Websites”) and mobile applications (“Apps”).

These Terms of Use outline your rights and responsibilities concerning the use of the Websites and/or Apps and any products (“Products”) or services (“Services”) offered on the Websites and/or Apps that you select. It’s important to note that the services provided on our platform may not be suitable for everyone or all medical situations. Certain medical conditions may not be appropriate for remote consultations. If you have any doubts about accurately conveying your medical conditions or concerns to the Practitioner(s), or if you face any uncertainties, we recommend consulting a medical practitioner in person. 

Our Services should not be used in emergencies, for mental health issues, or for any condition that requires a physical examination, as determined by you or your healthcare provider.

Healthsprings Connect makes no specific claims or warranties regarding the effectiveness of the Services offered on our Website and Apps. The information provided on our platform is for educational purposes and does not guarantee suitability for specific individuals or medical conditions, nor does it predict the effectiveness, outcome, or success of such Services.

MEDICAL GUIDANCE

Please be aware that Healthsprings Connect does not dispense medical advice. While our Websites and Apps are designed to assist and support your consultations and health decisions, the responsibility for these decisions lies solely with you. You can ask questions on our platform or during private consultations. Answers to your queries may be found on our Websites and Apps, or Practitioners may provide medical advice during or after your consultations. However, this advice is the sole responsibility of the Practitioners, and Healthsprings Connect cannot be held liable for it.

It’s crucial to understand that when you engage in online consultations, the advice given is based on the information you provide to the Practitioners, including your health records, medical examination history, and descriptions of your conditions or symptoms at the relevant time. You acknowledge and agree that Healthsprings Connect and the Practitioners cannot be held responsible for misdiagnosis resulting from inaccurate information provided by you.

NO GUARANTEES

 The App and the telemedicine services are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation, any warranty for information, services, uninterrupted access, or products provided through or in connection with the App.

USE OF INFORMATION

We may use your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to our use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Healthsprings Connect owns all intellectual property rights in the App, including all copyrights, trademarks, and other proprietary rights. You may not use any of Healthsprings Connect’s intellectual property without our prior written consent.

PROHIBITED CONDUCT

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Interfere with the operation of the App or disrupt the App’s servers or networks.
  • Use any automated system or software to extract data from the App.
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the App.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Under no circumstances shall Healthsprings Connect and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall be held liable to you or any other individual for any losses, damages, and/or claims, including direct, indirect, special, incidental, exemplary, or consequential damages, whether under tort, contract, strict liability, or otherwise, resulting from:

  • Your access to and use of our App or the telemedicine services
  • Your reliance on any Content and/or any advice or information provided during or after Consultations.
  • Any computer viruses, information, software, linked sites, Products, and Services obtained through the Websites and/or Apps.

Without limiting the general scope of the above statement, Healthsprings Connect holds no liability for:

  • Any loss or injury caused, wholly or partly, by Healthsprings Connect’s actions, omissions, or negligence in collecting, compiling, or delivering information within or through Content.
  • Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in such information, regardless of the cause, or delays or interruptions in the delivery of such information.
  • Any decision made or action taken or not taken in reliance upon such information.

INDEMNIFICATION

To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Healthsprings Connect, its directors, officers, agents, and employees, as well as its affiliated entities, successors, and assigns,

against any claims, demands, legal actions, judgments, liabilities, losses, expenses, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that may arise from or be a result of:

By accessing the Website and/or App and utilizing the Services, you confirm that you understand your responsibilities under the Local Regulations applicable in the territory where you are located, and you will adhere to such Local Regulations.

We do not guarantee that all products, Services, or Content described on or available through the Website and/or App are suitable or available for use outside of Singapore. You acknowledge that you access our Website and/or App, purchase Products, and use Services at your own initiative and are responsible for complying with all local laws and regulations.

HEALTHSPRINGS CONNECT’S ADHERENCE TO LOCAL LAWS

Our fulfillment of obligations under these Terms of Use is contingent upon existing laws and legal procedures in the Republic of Singapore. Nothing in these Terms of Use undermines our right to comply with governmental, court, and law enforcement requests or requirements related to your access to and use of the Website and/or Apps, purchase of Products, use of Services, or information provided by us regarding such access, purchase, and use.

Our failure to assert or enforce any right or provision in these Terms of Use will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.


TRANSFER OF INFORMATION

Any information you furnish to us concerning your usage of the Healthsprings Connect Website and/or Apps, acquisition of Products, or utilization of Services will be transmitted to our affiliated companies, subsidiaries, or authorized representatives, adhering to our Privacy Policy and relevant legal requirements. PAYMENT

Prices: The costs of the Services and Products will be clearly specified on the Websites or Apps at the time of purchase. These prices are subject to change based on the suppliers or providers of the Products and Services. However, any alterations in prices will not impact any Products or Services that you have already ordered prior to the price adjustments.

Payment: You are responsible for remitting payment for the Products and/or Services you have requested, as well as any applicable charges, including but not limited to:

  • Any local taxes, if applicable.
  • Transaction fees or processing charges imposed by the bank or other transaction-processing entities.
  • Any other associated fees.

You can settle the payment through your credit card or other payment methods facilitated on the Healthsprings Connect Website and App. The charges will be incurred at the moment of Product purchase or upon completion of the Services, as applicable.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Teleconsultation Eligibility

While teleconsultation is a convenient option for many medical concerns, it is not suitable for acute or emergency conditions such as heart attacks and chest pain. In such cases, health professionals have the right to cancel or reject the case without prior notice, and no charges will be incurred.

Teleconsultation Fees

All teleconsultation fees paid through our app are fully refundable if the appointment is canceled, regardless of the time of cancellation.

Appointment Cancellation by User

Users can cancel a scheduled teleconsultation appointment at any time without incurring any charges, provided the cancellation is made before the scheduled appointment time. However, once the call has started, patients are not allowed to cancel, and the consultation fee becomes non-refundable. 

Appointment Cancellation by Medical Professional

In the event that a medical professional needs to cancel a scheduled appointment, the user will be notified immediately via email. Users will have the option to book a new appointment.

Refunds

Refunds for canceled appointments will be processed promptly, usually within 7  business days after the cancellation request is made. Please note that the processing time may vary depending on the payment method and issuing bank. 

Technical Issues

If a teleconsultation cannot be conducted due to technical issues from our end, users will have the option to reschedule the appointment or receive a full refund.

Prescription Refills and Medical Advice

Prescription refills and medical advice provided during teleconsultations are based on the information provided by the user. It is the user’s responsibility to provide accurate and complete information. The medical professionals reserve the right to deny prescription refills or medical advice if they believe it is not appropriate based on the provided information.

Changes to Appointments

Users can request changes to their appointment time or date at any time without incurring any additional charges. Changes can be made through the app’s scheduling interface.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Healthsprings Connect reserves all rights, titles, and interests in all of Healthsprings Connect’s intellectual property, encompassing inventions, concepts, code, discoveries, methods, software, data, trademarks, and any related patents, copyrights, or trademarks (collectively referred to as “Intellectual Property Rights”). You acknowledge and agree not to use any of Healthsprings Connect’s Intellectual Property Rights without prior written consent from Healthsprings Connect.

Furthermore, Healthsprings Connect retains all Intellectual Property Rights concerning the source code, technical information, and all content and information related to the Websites and Apps, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and source code. These Terms of Use grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to access and use the Website and/or App, as well as the Products and Services available through them.

You are prohibited from using the name, logo, trademark, trade name, service mark, or any associated symbol of or linked to Healthsprings Connect without obtaining prior written consent.

GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. The parties hereby agree to submit exclusively to the jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

SEVERABILITY

If any term, condition, or provision within these Terms of Use is deemed invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by any competent authority to any extent, it shall be severed to that extent. The remainder of the Terms of Use shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

NO ASSIGNMENT

You are not allowed to assign, transfer, or novate any of your rights, interests, or obligations under these Terms of Use to a third party without obtaining prior written consent from Healthsprings Connect. Any purported assignment in violation of this provision shall be null and void.

RIGHTS OF THIRD PARTIES

Except where expressly permitted in this Agreement, any person who is not a party to this Agreement has no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) or any modifications, supplements, or adaptations thereof, to enforce any terms of this Agreement.

NO IMPLIED RELATIONSHIP

These Terms of Use do not establish a partnership, agency, or joint venture between you and Healthsprings Connect. You do not have, nor can you represent to any third party, the authority or power to bind Healthsprings Connect or create liability on behalf of Healthsprings Connect, whether through words or actions.

SOCIAL SHARING FEATURES AND LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

Our Website and/or App may provide social sharing features and links to social media platforms and other integrated tools. Additionally, we might occasionally offer links to external websites for your convenience and information, or third-party websites may share links to our Websites. We do not oversee these social sharing features, social media platforms, and external websites, and we are not accountable for their content or privacy practices. The inclusion of links to such features and websites does not imply our endorsement of their content or any association with their operators.
