[:en]People who took Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccine for their two doses on or before August 31, please be reminded to take your third dose before December 31. This is so that you can maintain your fully vaccinated status starting from January 1.
However, if you have taken your second dose after August 31 or did not receive any SMS reminders from the Ministry of Health (MOH), it will not be necessary to take your third dose before December 31.
This is because you will only be eligible for the third dose at least three months after your second dose. Your fully vaccinated status will still remain for four months after the second dose of either Sinopharm or Sinovac. For example, if you took your second dose on October 1, your fully vaccinated status will remain until four months from that day which is February 1, 2022.
It is not advisable to delay the third dose once you are eligible for it as once your fully vaccinated status has been revoked, you will not be able to go to places like shopping malls and libraries. The TraceTogether app will show that additional dose needed under your vaccination status and restricted with the vaccination-differentiated safe management measures.
Therefore, it is best to keep track of when you last had your second dose so that you will know when you will lose the fully vaccinated status.
